Before a dog boards or joins daycare, we schedule an evaluation so that the team can get to know them. This helps us understand their comfort level, social style, routines, and individual needs before their stay.

Why is an evaluation required?
The evaluation helps us make sure Almost Home is a safe and comfortable fit for your dog. It gives us a chance to learn about your dog’s personality, play style, comfort level, and individual needs before their stay.
What should my dog bring for boarding?
Please bring your dog’s food, medications, and any written care instructions. You may also bring something that helps your dogs settle better but please be leave you or your dog’s favorite belonging at home in case it gets lost or destroyed.
What should my dog bring for daycare?
Most dogs only need a leash and collar for daycare. Please bring food or medication only if your dog will need it at some point during the day.
What are the requirement for daycare and boarding?
Dogs must be current on all required vaccinations. Dogs over six months old must by spayed or neutered. Every dog must also complete and evaluation before attending daycare or boarding at Almost Home.
Can you give my dog medication?
Yes. Please provide medications in their original containers with clear written instructions. Let us know about all medications and health needs before your dog’s stay.
